John G. Cvitkovic

John George Cvitkovic, of Sammamish, WA, passed away on Wednesday, October 19,2022, at the age of 86. He was born on June 20, 1936, in Aberdeen, WA and grew up in Seattle near his grandparents and extended family.

John served in the Army. After leaving the service, he attended Western Washington University for a time before leaving to work on the waterfront for 44 years as a member of the ILWU Local 52 and spent the majority of his career as a Supercargo.

Devoted husband and father, John was a history buff. He was also passionate about golf and shared his love of the game with his family.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Stella Petrovich and father, John Vukich.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia, children John, Michelle, Marc and Jeff, brother Michael, and five grandchildren.

John was a kind, friendly and generous person; much loved by his family and all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.

His family would like to thank all of the caregivers and doctors at Overlake Hospital for the care and compassion they showed him while he was there.
