Robert "Bob" Dawson departed this life at age 83 on July 22, 2013, in Seattle, Wash. He was born April 26, 1930, in Elk River, Idaho, to Fergus and Lillian (Linderman) Dawson. He is survived by his brother, Gordon (wife Ora) Dawson; nephew Gregg Dawson; great-nephew Tyler Dawson; and many cousins.

Bob graduated from Deary High School in 1949 and the University of Idaho in 1957 after serving two years in West Berlin for U.S. Army intelligence. With his economics degree he moved to Seattle to work for Peoples Bank, then Boeing and ended his career as a Longshoreman. He was an avid hunter, a voracious reader with a great love of horse racing and finding a "good deal" on merchandise to share with others.
