Lenny passed away suddenly on June 30, 2022. He was born in New Westminster, British Columbia on December 20, 1944 and moved to Everett WA with his family in 1958. He graduated from Everett High School then joined the U.S. Army and served for two years. Following the Army he went to Western Washington University and graduated with a teaching degree. Lenny tried several careers before he became a Longshoreman where he worked the docks in Everett & Seattle WA and Long Beach CA.
He retired in 2008 and moved to San Carlos, Mexico. He loved his life on the beach and was very involved a local charity called Castaway Kids. Lenny came to Washington in late June to visit family and friends before he was to embark on a big trip to the Philippines, Cambodia, and Viet Nam. Sadly, he had an aortic aneurysm before he had a chance to travel.
Lenny lived his life to the fullest and made an impression on all who met him. He loved trop rock music and was a long time member of the Parrot Heads of Puget Sound. He worked hard, partied hard, and was extremely generous to those in need.
Lenny is survived by son Tim, longshoreman; brother Ross, retired longshoreman (Bobi); nephew, Len Wheeler (Kerie); niece, Michele Albrecht (Ralph); brother-in-law, Len Wheeler; three great-nieces and three great nephews; three great-great nieces and one great-great-nephew. He was preceded in death by both parents and his sister.
A celebration of life will be held from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the Everett Elks Club. 2802 Hoyt Ave., Everett WA 98021
