Roger was born the youngest child of Irene and Perley Betts in Minneapolis, MN. At age two Roger and his family moved to Seattle and he graduated from Ballard HS 1972. Roger passed away in his Ballard home. Roger was predeceased by his parents as well as his brother David, sister JoAnne and brother-in-law George Pendleton. Roger is survived by a large and loving family: Brother Michael (Michele) Betts and a large family of nieces and nephews. Last but not in the least Roger leaves behind his brothers and sisters of Seattle ILWU Local 19 (Longshore). There was no prouder day in Roger's life than becoming an "A" member with his union. Interment at Washelli Cemetery.
