Arthur Sune DRUGGE Of Fort Myers, FL, age 87, died July 5, 2008 at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers. He was born in Norbotten, Sweden on April 15, 1921 to Arthur Linus and Hulda Victoria (Harstrom) Drugge. At the age of 2, Art traveled with his parents to the US landing at Ellis Island NY and then to Montesano WA.
He graduated from Montesano High School in 1939, joined the Conservation Corps, worked for Boeing during WWII and then operated a Signal service station in Hoquiam, before becoming a Supercargo with ILWU local 52, Art held this position until his retirement. Prior to moving to Florida, Art was a long time resident of Belfair WA.
He is survived by his loving companion, Marguerite Williamson of Fort Myers FL, his son Darrell of Olympia and 4 grandchildren, Dwayne, Danna, Damon, Danielle, and 8 great grandchildren, his 4 siblings Arnold of Hoquiam, Larene of Olympia, Mildred of Aberdeen and Everett of Darien CN. His son, Douglas, preceded him in death. Private family burial will be held at his parent's Montesano gravesite.
