In Loving Memory of Marvin Huelett Sr.
Marvin Earl Huelett, Senior was welcomed into this world by his parents, Lucinda Huelett and Carl Huelett in southern California on October 10, 1947. As a child Marvin demonstrated strong qualities of independence, self-confidence and disposition of love and kindness that was enjoyed by all who knew him. Marvin was an only child but gathered extended brothers and sisters throughout his life. His early schooling was in Compton California.
The family moved to Seattle where Marvin graduated from Garfield High School in 1965. Marvin placed a high value on learning and always understood there were new lessons in life to be learned. He took several college courses at Walla Walla Community College and at Washington State University. He married Cheryl Lynn Clark and to that union, he had two sons, Marvin Huelett, Jr. and Kevin Huelett. His sons were the joy of his life and only wanted the very best for them. Marvin related well to people young and old and was able to connect at, or on, their level.
Marvin held many jobs throughout his life. He was employed as a longshoreman, did community work with POCCAN and was employed as a special education counselor with the Seattle School District. Marvin retired and became an entrepreneur buying and selling cars. He especially favored classic cars.
