Paul Rex Kuntz, age 83, born in Pratt , Kansas , passed away January 8, 2002 in Marysville, WA . He served with the 82nd Airborne Division during WWII. Paul jumped in Normandy on D-Day, and was later wounded in France. He married Elma Irene Snedker on November 18, 1944.

He retired as Super Cargo from Local #52, ILWU Seattle. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elma; sons, Mike (Teresa) Kuntz, James Kuntz, Stephen Kuntz, David (Amanda) Kuntz, Daniel (Allyson) Kuntz; daughter, Margaret (Leonard) Aamodt; 11 grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren.

A Time of Visitation will be held Friday, January 11, 2002, 4-7pm at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home followed by a Rosary. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 12, 2002, 10:00am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marysville. Burial will follow at Holyrood Cemetery , Seattle, WA.
