Larry "Pokey" CARPENTER Age 75. Born September 20, 1934, died April 13, 2010 peacefully at his home, surrounded by loved ones. He leaves behind his beloved wife Elsie; daughter Belinda (Mike) Ballah; granddaughters Nicole (Jason) Leverich and Britney Ballah. Daughter Lori (Martin) West; grandsons Joshua (Jennica) West and Ryan West; granddaughter Lacey West; Brother Fred (Chris) Carpenter; sister Jeri Carpenter and sister-in-law Bernice Carpenter. Larry was preceded in death by his brother Dale Carpenter.

He was retired from the ILWU Local 98. A celebration of his life will be held at Mars Hill Church , 7551 35th Ave SW , in West Seattle , at 2:00 PM on April 26th. Donations may be made to Group Health Hospice or a charity of your choice.
