Richard Sam Maletta 1930 - 2013. Born in Seattle September 20, 1930 to John and Lucille Maletta. Passed away March 8, 2013 after a long struggle with Congestive Heart Failure and Parkinson's disease. Beloved husband, father, papa, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin.

Rich is a retired longshoreman and a member of the ILWU local 19. Also a long-time member of Sons of Italy Fedele #1390. Survived by wife of 61 years Virginia, daughters Barbara, Linda (Chuck), granddaughters Kristina and Jessica. Brother Larry (Linda), nieces Tina, Lisa, Debbie, nephew Michael, numerous cousins and many familiar friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday March 16th, 11:00 am, at St. Paul Parish; 10001 57th Avenue South , Seattle 98178 , with an onsite reception following in Romans Hall. Private Entombment service will follow at Washington Memorial Park.

Rich was one of the good guys, and is now in the arms of his mother, father, sister's Barbara and Donna, along with many other family members and friends who have preceded him to heaven. He will be missed and forever in our hearts.
