Robert Joseph PELLAND Robert Pelland, a retired ILWU longshoreman died at home surrounded by family on Apr. 30, 2005. He was born Mar. 4, 1922 in New Westminster, B.C. He served as a sergeant in WWII in Panama then spent 6 years in the grocery business in the Seattle area. He retired in 1984 after 38 years as a longshoreman.
He enjoyed reading, gardening, fishing, outdoor activities, and was an avid hunter. He was preceded in death by his wife Alice. He is survived by a son Gerald Pelland of Renton; a daughter Anita Jerome of Whidbey Island; and 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thurs. May 12, 2005 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
