Jess Stewart passed away on June 23, 2017 in Lynnwood, Washington at the age of 86. Jess was born in Sequim, Washington in 1931. He attended the University of Washington and served in the military during the Korean war. Jess worked for the City of Seattle for several years. 

He retired from the ILWU Local 52 after 40 years working as a Supercargo. Jess was a very talented pianist and enjoyed classical music. He had a great passion for books and acquired a vast and diverse book collection. He is survived by his wife Joyce of 57 years, sons Michael and Mark, granddaughters Sophia and Angela, daughter-in-law Mary and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
