Carsten Brady STRAND, Jr. Carsten Brady Strand, Jr., 68, of Burien passed away October 10, 2002 in Sun City, Arizona. Carsten served in the United States Marine Corps and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. In 1966 he joined the I.L.W.U. Local 19 where he worked until retiring in 1998. In 1958 he married his sweetheart Ellen. They enjoyed almost 40 years of life together before her passing in 1998.

He then moved to Sun City, Arizona to enjoy his retirement years in the sun. He is survived by his sons Scott (Traci), Stephen (Dawn), his daughter Kimberley Norton (Jim), and grandchildren Jordan, Gary, Chelsey, Serena, and Ellen.

There will be a Memorial Service to celebrate his life on November 2, 2002 at 1 p.m. at the Normandy Park Cove. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society.
